Terms of Service

Sori ("we", "us") provides a browser extension and web application that help you learn Korean while reading webtoons and web novels: capturing words, showing their meaning in context, and scheduling flashcard reviews. By creating an account or using Sori you agree to these terms.

You can sign up with an email address and password, or through Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials — and any API tokens you create for the extension — confidential, and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Sori.

You can delete API tokens at any time from your account page. Contact us to delete your account entirely; we will remove your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sori offers three plans:

• Monthly — $9.99 per month, renews automatically each month.
• Yearly — $84 per year (equivalent to $7 per month), renews automatically each year.
• Lifetime — $250 paid once, granting access to Sori for as long as the service operates. It is not a subscription and never renews.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we never see or store your card number. We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice — changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid, and never to a completed lifetime purchase.

You may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep full access until then, and you are not charged again. For refunds, see the Refund Policy.

Sori is for personal language learning. You agree not to abuse the service — for example by reselling access, sharing one account between many people, scraping or overloading the API, attempting to breach other users' data, or using Sori to infringe the rights of content platforms or authors. Sori does not host, copy or redistribute webtoons or novels; it reads only the fragment of the page you point it at, on sites you already have access to.

Sori is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. If we ever discontinue Sori entirely, we will give lifetime purchasers and active subscribers reasonable advance notice and, where required by law, a pro-rated refund of prepaid, undelivered service.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you (for example by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Continuing to use Sori after a change means you accept the updated terms.
